At James Stock Feed & Fertilizer Pty Ltd we pride ourselves with the quick turn around of the trucks bringing in incoming products to the mill. The area around the mill has been designed to ensure traffic throughput is maximised and congestions is kept to a minimum.
James Stock Feed & Fertilizer Pty Ltd at Nathalia Victoria, has approximately 10,000 tonne of storage capacity on site, and also utilises external storage as required. A substantial amount of grain is normally purchased at harvest time, so a combination of the various storage facilities may be required.
Onsite storage is made up of vertical silos, with some of these fitted with aeration. The aeration on the silos eliminates the need to use chemicals for insect protection. External storages are a combination of vertical silos and flat sheds. These are normally contracted at a $’s per tonne rate for a set period. Grain being held for any length of time in external storage may require treatment to avoid insect infestation. |
